Now you don't know this but I've bought quite a few things from the Naked range. Shampoo, curl serums and even a leave in. So it would be unfair to say that I disliked the brand as a whole because they really do have some nice and effective products. However, this little pot of putty did not work for me.
When I say I tried everything to make this work, I mean I tried everything. From using it with oil, mixing it with oil, applying water before and after using it, only using a little amount, only using it on my ends, leaving in it for a long while, etcetera etcetera. The results were all the same. White residue and gummy hair. My hair would not comprise and make this work until I gave up and finally mixed this putty with a conditioner dumped it all on my head, left it for a little while and then rinsed it out. After all my trails that method, that final finale, was the best.
Alas I bought two pots of this stuff at one time thinking that it would just naturally work with my hair. Evidently I was wrong. Both pots are now finished and I have to say I'm very happy about that. So what if anything were/are the benefits?
Let me list them for you
Pros:
- smells nice
- has no silicones
- thick and creamy product
- nice sturdy jar/packaging
- inexpensive (bought it for 99p)
I can't think of anything else and the cons, well you already know now. It simply did not work for me and left me with white residue. However, I think that if your hair is less coily than mine ... it might work for you, you never know but I wouldn't recommend it myself. The end :)
