New menu at Stix HRC

The Hawker-styled restaurant in Chennai, Stix (Hyatt Regency Chennai) serving traditional Chinese cuisine has launched a new menu. Highlighting the Sichuan flavors Chef Sun Wenlin, has curated the exciting new menu under the guidance of Executive Chef, Vikram Ganpule, using authentic ingredients downrightly sourced from his home-town.
We were invited to taste the new flavours and here’s what we had:
Dumplings are close to my heart and so happy that they have added some amazing variants in the menu. Genuinely can’t pick one, as I loved all of them:
Edamame dumpling was delicate and nice. Asparagus shiitake mushroom dumpling was full of flavours. How could the Chicken sui mai go wrong. It was yummy.
Kung-pao chicken bao: Am not much of a bao person but glad to see that they have the right bao which comes under the dumpling family and not the recently tweaked taco style.
Tried the Sichuan style chicken, chilli which was brilliant.
For the Main Course we had Braised chicken, onion, black bean sauce which was as tasty as it was simple. Stir fried prawn, bell pepper, xo sauce had the X factor, we loved these with the Five spice fried rice. The Sichuan style home made noodle, lamb, radish again showed the skill of Chef for elevating a dish with its authenticity.
I loved the Homemade noodle, tomato, eggplant, bok choy, soy sauce.
While most of the Asian places do not have exciting dessert options, here there are a few to choose from. The coconut custard, litchi jelly is lip smacking. And the beautiful and artistic plate of prunes, chocolate brownie flute, honey was as tasty as it looked.
Try out this lovely new menu at Stix, Hyatt Regency, Chennai.
